God is Working
How easy it is to become disillusioned when life does not go the way we thought it would. So often life seems harder than it ought to be. We lookaround and wonder, where is God?
It is at these times we need to remember; God has not left us, and He will answer in His timing. Think about the Israelites in Egypt. They were there some 400 years. It started out well but for the last 350 years they were suppressed by the Egyptians. They must have felt abandoned by God. Yet look what God told Moses, “The Lord said,
I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.
Exodus 3:7
God is aware of what we are going through. He sees our hardships. Maybe He is using them to mold us into the image of His Son Jesus Christ. Maybe He’s strengthening us so that we can be used for His glory. Always remember the words of Jesus,
…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20
Even in hard times, God is walking with us.
