“Giving Is Worship”
Many believe that worship is that first part of the service where we sing praises to God…and that is worship. But worship is so much more.
When you come in and speak to and encourage a brother or sister in Christ, that is worship. When you greet that newcomer and make them feel welcome, that is worship. When you agree with the one who is praying, that is worship. When you listen to the Word of God being spoken and apply it to your life, that is worship. And when you give your offering to the work of the church, that is worship.
When everything you do is for the Lord, you worship Him. We are not our own, but we have been bought with a price, not with gold or silver, but with the greatest gift of all, the blood of Jesus Christ. Let us live a life of worship, giving our all to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. As Paul said,
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
Romans 12:1
