Ken Wakefield
Teaching Pastor
Bio
Ken Wakefield served as a missionary in Indonesia from 1990-1992, training young pastors on Sumatra and Java to teach and preach the Word. In 1992 he and his family returned to the states and planted a church in Molalla, Oregon.
Ken’s heartbeat was to train up disciples of Christ, to equip each person to do the work of ministry and fulfill the calling on his heart, found in Colossians 1:28-29, to proclaim Christ with all wisdom so that every person might be complete in Christ. Ken also viewed himself as a local missionary and invested time in the community, serving on the city council, teaching leadership courses in the community, initiating work projects for those in need, and ministering to the first responders as a chaplain for the fire department for 23 years.
Ken, along with his wife Linda, developed marriage workshop curriculum and led a variety of marriage retreats designed to challenge, encourage, and support the growth of couples into more fulfilling and Christ-like marriages.
Ken participated in the Northwest Awana camp ministry for 20 years. He taught Bible classes and served as the Staff pastoral support. Modeling how to engage God’s Word, showing how God’s truth comes alive practically, was his passion as he invested in youth and staff and saw them develop vibrant, personal relationships with God that transformed their daily lives.
Ken and Linda raised four children and found the greatest joy was including them in all aspects of ministry, sharing the good times and the hard times, praying their way forward through the lean years, celebrating the times of abundance, providing a safe place to process and grow together.

Don Willis
Church Life Pastor
Bio
While spending twenty plus years in business, Don served the church as a lay leader as both Youth Director and Worship Leader. He also served on the board of Deacons and the Elder Board. However, after years in business, doors opened up and Don felt the calling of the Lord to serve in full time ministry. In 2002, Don left the business world and became the full time Youth Pastor and Worship Leader for Lewisville Bible Church.
Having majored in music theory in his previous time in college, Don felt the need to pursue a Biblical degree. In 2016 he received his Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies degree from Moody Bible Institute on-line. He is now the Church Life pastor, still overseeing the Youth and Christian Education as well as Worship and Special events.

Don Willis
Visitation & Counseling Pastor
Bio
Pastor Ken Rogers trusted Christ as his Savior at a young age while attending St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pennsauken, New Jersey. He graduated from Philadelphia College of the Bible in 1965 and went on to earn his degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1969. During his college years, Ken served faithfully in youth ministry—first at his home church, then at Cinnaminson Baptist Church in New Jersey, and later at Maranatha Baptist Church in Dallas while attending seminary.
Over the years, Pastor Ken served as Senior Pastor in three churches: Memorial Baptist in Chambers, Nebraska; Berean Bible Church in Greene, New York; and Lewisville Bible Church, where he served for over 34 years. During his time at LBC, he launched the Awana program, began a Men’s Discipleship class, and helped anchor the church in the Word and in prayer. He also served the wider community as a Police Chaplain and had the honor of opening a session of Congress in prayer.
After retiring from the senior pastorate in 2022, Pastor Ken transitioned into a new season of ministry as Visitation and Counseling Pastor at LBC. He remains passionate about encouraging believers, sharing Christ with those who do not yet know Him, and teaching the Word of God. Ken and his wife, Lou Ann—who also came to faith early in life—have been blessed with two sons and two cherished granddaughters. His life verse echoes his humble heart: “By the grace of God, I am what I am” (1 Corinthians 15:10).
