Holding Forth the Word of Life
a church that
loves God
and people
Lewisville Bible Church is centered in Christ, founded on the Word of God, the Bible, strengthened through prayer, intentional in sharing the good news of life in Christ, caring about people and the needs of our community; and committed to the spread of the gospel around the world.

Our Staff
At Lewisville Bible Church, we are blessed with a faithful team of pastors who love the Lord, love His Word, and love His people. Each member of our staff brings a unique background and gifting, but all share a common devotion to Christ and a heart to serve His church.
Whether leading in worship, teaching the Scriptures, discipling youth, or encouraging the global mission field, our pastors seek to āhold forth the word of lifeā (Phil. 2:16) and build up the body of Christ. Get to know the men God has called to lead and walk alongside our church family.

What We Believe
beliefs that unite us
God
the one true living God, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, eternal, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, possessing the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
The Bible
Godās inspired Word, authoritative, without error in the original writings, infallible, able to equip us for life and faith. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20,21)
People
Created in the image and likeness of God, fallen through Adamās sin, inheriting a sin nature, alienated from God, redeemed by grace through salvation in Jesus Christ, renewed and sealed through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26,27; Romans 3:22,23, 5:12; Ephesians 1:13, 2:12)
Believers
secure in Christ forever, kept by the power of God, and though we are still in the flesh, the old natureās propensity to sin, we have victory over sin through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. (John 10:27-30; Romans 8:12,13; Ephesians 4:22-24; 1 John 5:4)
Jesus
the eternal Son of God, fully man, fully God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, a substitutionary sacrifice, literally and physically resurrected from the dead, exalted at the right hand of God, will return in glory. (John 1:1,2,12; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24,25, 4:25; 1 Peter 1:3-5)
Holy Spirit
the presence and power of God, fully God, convicts the world of sin, indwells all believers, baptizes them into the body of Christ, and seals them unto the day of redemption. (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14,and 18)
Salvation
the gift of God, by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the shed blood of Jesus Christ that atones sin. (Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-10; John 1:12)
The Church
the body and bride of Christ, to glorify God, to take the good news of the gospel of Christ to the world, to build up the body in Christ-likeness. (Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27; 1 Corinthians 12;12-14)
The Future
Christ will return. We believe in the imminent, pretribulation and premillennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; His orderly return to earth, with His saints, to establish His Millennial Kingdom. (1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18, 5:9; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:6)

FAQ
What should I wear?
The body of the the church is made up of a variety of people from different walks of life and what people wear on Sundays reflects that. We have people who wear suits and ties all the way to those who feel more at home in tiger print shorts and a t-shirt. Wear what makes you comfortable (as long as youāve got more than just your skivvies on).
Do I need a Bible? What translation do you use?
We do encourage attendees to follow along in the Bible during the message, but itās okay if you donāt have one. There are Bibles available in the backs of most of the pews. Or if you have a smartphone, we would recommend just downloading an app likeĀ The Bible App from YouVersion, that way you have the Word of God with you no matter where you go. The main translations that are preached from on a given Sunday are the New King James Version(NKJV) and the New American Standard Version(NASB).
Whatās available for my kids?
We have several ministries for children and youth to help them learn about Godās grace and love.
Ā
Our Youth Ministries statement is,
Ā
āOur Mission is to reach students with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to equip them to become active followers of Christ, standing on the Word of God, unashamed as they live out their faith.ā

What is the music like?
Our morning worship is a mix of Modern Christian Worship and hymns. Our praise team loves to learn new songs to bring to the fellowship so that we can, as Psalms 96 puts it, āSing a new song to the LORDā, but we do still find that there is depth in the words of the older hymns that are relevant to us today. As such, we like to mix the old with the new.
