“Be A Disciple”

The great commission in Matthew 28 calls us to go and, “make disciples of all nations.” (v19) But before you can make disciples of all nations, you must first be a disciple.

According to Merriam-Webster, a disciple is, “one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another”. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are now ready to assist Jesus in making disciples of all nations.

Disciple making begins with your walk of life…always keeping His commandments, putting Jesus above everything and anyone, willing to carry your cross on the path God has laid out for you. As John says, if you claim to be a Christ follower then “walk in the same manner as He walked”. (1 John 2:6) And always let the love of Christ flow through you to others.

By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

John 13:35
